Women’s Vaginal Health
Vaginal health plays a critical role in women’s overall health. Vaginitis is a common condition characterized by inflammation of the vagina and is most often treated with antibiotics; however, recurrence after treatment remains a frequent challenge.
Probiotic supplementation that supports vaginal health can help maintain an optimal vaginal pH environment (pH 3.8–4.5), suppress the growth of harmful bacteria, and contribute to long-term vaginal microbiome balance, thereby reducing recurrence rates.

ATG-K2 demonstrated direct antimicrobial activity against Gardnerella vaginalis (GV), the primary causative pathogen of bacterial vaginosis, and showed inhibitory effects on GV-induced biofilm formation. In both GV-induced dysbiosis and antibiotic/GV-induced dysbiosis animal models, ATG-K2 reduced key pathogenic markers in vaginal tissue, including clue cell formation, sialidase activity, and vaginolysin secretion, while significantly decreasing GV abundance.

In addition, ATG-K2 restored GV-induced vaginal microbiome imbalance, supporting its potential role in maintaining vaginal health and reducing the recurrence of bacterial vaginosis.
